✨Do you dream about working in the clouds? Do you look up to the sky and think about what it is like to work as a flight attendant? Are you afraid of a 9 am to 5 pm job? Are you finishing school and do not know what to do next? Maybe you want to travel the world and get paid for it?💸

📌You may be one of those who has always wanted to become a flight attendant. Perhaps you are one of those who work a daily shit from 9 to 5, the same office, the same colleagues, every day the same. Maybe you are one of those who have already taken part in the open day or assessment day but unfortunately unsuccessfully.

📌Airline’s recruitment process is not a simple one. Sometimes it takes up to two or more days to choose the best candidates. You will pass several tests and interviews, and if you do well, then your dream job becomes a reality.

📌Find out as much information as possible about the airline, minimum requirements, what kind of photos you need, how it is with tattoos, education, age. Can I wear glasses or lenses and how do I apply?

📌So now sit back, relax, pour yourself a cup of good coffee and start your preparation.

Only the best-prepared candidates will celebrate at the end of the assessment day.

✨So let’s have a look at the first step together – minimum requirements, which you must meet until the last one so that you can go to open or assessment day at all.

These are the requirements of Etihad, Emirates and Qatar Airways.

🌟AGE CRITERIA🌟

You must be 21 years old to be able to work as a flight attendant in the Middle East. In many countries, when you reach the age of 21, you become an adult person, fully responsible for your decisions.

If you have not been 21 years old, then you have to wait. You will not be able to attend the Open Day or Assessment Day.

None of those mentioned above airlines states maximum age limit.

🌟EDUCATION🌟

The minimum level of education required is high school, which ends with a school leaving examination. The type of school does not matter. Candidates are expected to have basic general knowledge and the ability to learn new things. During training for the position of the flight attendant, you will have to pass a lot of tests of emergency procedures, safety, first aid, etc.

🌟HEIGHT🌟

As a flight attendant, you must be able to close the storage space above the seats and also reach the emergency equipment which might be stored in these storage spaces.

Etihad, Emirates, and Qatar require all candidates to reach a minimum of 212 cm.

Make a mark on the wall at a height of 212 cm and try to reach this mark with just one hand. This test is carried out without shoes (tiptoe is allowed). Jumping is not allowed.

Additionally, the Emirates have set a limit for their candidates, you must measure at least 160 cm.

🌟HEALTH CONDITION🌟

Health and fitness are extremely important for this work. Your shift can start at 2 am or at 5 pm. You will stand on high heels and occasionally lift heavy luggage into storage spaces – all with a beautiful smile!

All this can be done, assuming you maintain a healthy lifestyle. After a successful selection process, you must submit a detailed medical examination from your doctor. Upon admission to the airline, you must also undergo a medical examination with an airline doctor.

🌟TATTOOS – ALLOWED OR NOT?🌟

If the tattoo can be hidden under your uniform, then it’s okay. Ladies normally wear a short sleeve and a skirt to the knees. The gentlemen wear a long sleeved shirt and trousers. If you can not hide the tattoo, then you will automatically be excluded from the selection process.

Qatar Airways has strict rules – NO tattoos are allowed.

🌟ENGLISH LANGUAGE🌟

The English language is considered primary in aviation. You must have a good level of English knowledge in all aspects. Speaking, writing, reading, and understanding. All manuals, training and all communications are in English.

🌟CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS🌟

Emirates recommends at least 1 year of hospitality and customer care experience. This is a recommended time, not a necessity.

All successful candidates will receive proper customer service training; however, the previous experience might give you an advantage during the selection process.

The difference of PAL and PALEX:

Philippine Airlines have more international flights while PAL Express have more domestic flights.

If you become a cabin crew at PAL Express once you stayed for 2 years at PALEX, they will absorb you. Only 4 years College graduates will have the privilege to be transferred to main PAL according to the cabin crew I have spoke with. So its much better to finish your studies even if PALEX gives exceptional to undergraduates.

In Philippine Airlines they are VERY STRICT! MUST BE 4 YEARS COLLEGE GRADUATE OF ANY COURSE.
