"How to be a Cabin Crew/Flight Attendant?" (FAQs) "Most Frequently Asked Questions in the Philippines"๐ต๐ญ
Cabin crew qualifications and requirements differ per airline, hence, it is definitely hard to answer general questions about height, weight, tattoos, education, experience, and all. That being said, here are some FAQs from our aspiring cabin crew followers and we will try to answer them. Please do note that these do not represent the qualification or requirements of a specific airline, hence, it is best for you to still ask them.
Please do not assume that these represent a specific airline. These are just for your guidance.
๐ Are tattoos allowed?
Yes for as long as they are not visible when you slip into your cabin crew uniform.
๐ Are braces allowed?
Generally, it is not allowed but a few airlines allow it under certain conditions only.
๐ Do I have to be a tourism course degree holder?
Any course will do. There are a lot of cabin crew who are registered nurses, management graduates, economics degree holder, and other college courses.
๐ Do I have to go first to a flight attendant school before I apply in the airline?
Going to an FA school has its advantages but it really depends on how you will perform during recruitment and training. We know some first riders (people who had never even got close to an airplane) who became the class valedictorian during their cabin crew training in the airline. Basically, you will still have to undergo the cabin crew training program of the airline, whether you came from an FA training school or not.
๐ Is it true that the height requirement is 5'2"/5'3" for females and 5'6"/5'7" for male?
It varies per airline. Some have height requirements and some considers arm reach than height. So even if you are 5'0" but your arm reach is within the required height, then you have a chance to get in.
