Recruiters don't follow the minimum height requirements of the airline company

I wonder why some Filipino recruiters don't follow the minimum height requirements of the airline company.

Is it a good thing or a bad thing?

In my opinion, for me its okay to apply if there is no height requirements but since some airlines have set some height standards in Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, Cebu Pacific, Airasia the rules are rules and everyone should follow that.

Why would the recruiters allow someone to pass if the applicant is 5'1" and the minimum requirement is 5'3"?

I just don't like the idea that they will accept the applicant just because they think about the personality but still they didn't follow the rules.

And for me it is very wrong to encourage people below the height required to apply when we all know that their height is not allowed to the company's height standard.

A vlog came out on youtube when there was one Flight Attendant of PAL Express sharing her story how she passed even if she is below the minimum height required.

I think it should not be posted in public because it is confidential if recruiters will accept that is minimum in height. It is destroying the company's rules that should be minimum of 5'3" for the ladies.

I just hope it won't give false hopes to 500K to a million aspirants out there.

It is only 1% that will happen like one in a million chance and we all know many applicants gets rejected every open day recruitment compared to the ones who passed.

There is one open day and there are 1,500 plus applied but only less than 30 passed. It was raining that day and applicants fall in line until outside of the building. The recruitment ended around 8:00pm or 9:00pm

If you want to take a risk better apply abroad because there are only few airplanes in the Philippines and there are thousands of applicants who will compete against you.

Only few people will get that chance because not everyone will become a flight attendant.

Especially right now this Pandemic Covid-19 so many flight attendants lost their jobs and it will take a very long time for the airlines to hire once again.

They will prioritize those flight attendants who got layed off compared to aspirants.

If you have watched the vlog of sir Leonides Pena he's a In-Flight Director of PALExpress Cabin Crew Training. He explained in his video about the HEIGHT REQUIREMENTS.

There was one aspirant who have asked him if her 5'2" height can be accepted even if she wear 3 inches of high hills but when sir Leonides responded to the aspirant he said - NO THAT IS NOT ALLOWED. The cabin crew don't wear heels inside the aircraft they wear cabin shoes for safety.
